Representation contracts

OSDEL represents the majority of foreign writers and publishers through contracts with corresponding Collective Management Organisations (CMOs) in other countries. There are two types of contracts that OSDEL concludes with foreign CMOs: Type A contracts, under which it is agreed that the revenue collected by the contracting organisations shall be distributed to the beneficiaries in accordance with the respective distribution rules applicable at the given time, after the corresponding management costs have first been deducted. The deductions applied under such agreements amount to 10% and relate to the organisation’s management expenses. Type B contracts, under which it is agreed that the revenue collected by the contracting organisations shall be withheld and allocated in accordance with the distribution rules of each respective organisation.
