OSDEL represents more than 7,500 creators:
- authors of literary, scientific, educational and other works;
- translators;
- journalists;
- columnists in scientific and thematic journals, book review and literary magazines;

If you write articles in the press and/or in scientific journals and/or your works have been broadcast by radio or television or have been adapted into a film or series, you may participate in the corresponding distributions.
Books are registered in the BookPoint bibliographic database by the contractual publishers and confirmed by the contractual authors.
Communication with contractual partners takes place exclusively via the e-mail address indicated upon the conclusion of the contract. At the same time, all of news and announcements are posted on OSDEL’s website.
Copyright grants the creator or the holder of related rights the exclusive right to authorise or prohibit the reproduction of their works. Law 2121/1993, as currently in force, provides for a restriction on this exclusive right in very specific and special cases, one of which is reproduction (reprographic, digital, etc.) for private use. In compensation for this exception, fair remuneration has been established, which is determined as a percentage of the import or sale value of photocopiers, scanners, multifunction devices, printers, photocopy-suitable paper, computers, tablets, mobile phones and digital storage media. The same law stipulates that this right may be exclusively exercised collectively through Collective Management Organisations, which are authorised by the rightholders via a respective assignment contract.
In order to sign an assignment contract with OSDEL, please send your details (full name, father’s name, TIN, contact phone number) by e-mail to the Contractual Partners Department at members@osdel.gr.
After contacting OSDEL to conclude a contract, you will be sent an e-mail with your personal credentials and details of the procedure for electronic submission of the assignment contract.
If your works have been published on news websites, in print and/or electronic media, etc., you may participate in the corresponding distributions.
No, works created in any capacity are covered by the same creator’s contract.
The distribution for each category is conducted once a year. OSDEL announces the deadlines for the submission of declarations and the details of the procedure to be followed in each distribution category for the year on its website by the 31st January of each year. Declarations are submitted electronically through the respective OSDEL platform or by completion and submission of the appropriate form.
Royalties are paid once a year for all distributions in which creators have participated.
Writers, anthologists, translators, scientific editors, illustrators and certain special categories of creators, such as creators who have written an introduction, epilogue, etc., are eligible to participate in book production distributions. Content editors are not considered creators under the law and therefore do not participate in distributions.
