Publishers Distribution Regulation

Publishers of literary works who can prove that they hold the copyright and related rights to such works in print and/or digital editions and who have concluded an assignment contract with OSDEL are considered rightholders.

Contractual publishers are entitled to participate in multiple royalty distributions carried out by OSDEL in the course of each year, in accordance with the type of works they publish and the organisation’s respective source of revenue.

1. Distribution of fair remuneration for reproduction for private use (revenue from imports of reprographic devices):

  • Book‑production distribution;
  • Press distribution for newspapers and magazines: literary, book review and general-interest magazines, thematic journals;
  • Distribution for scientific journals;
  • Distribution of royalties for literary works adapted in audiovisual form or broadcast by radio or television;

2. Distribution of revenue from licensing in the education sector

3. Distribution of revenue from licensing in the press clipping sector.
